Average monthly net earning fell in November by 0.7% (9 lei) from October, to 1,366 lei (€318) on bonus cut and activity or production output reduction, according to data provided by the National Institute of Statistics.
In October, the net average earning rose 1.2% (16 lei) from September to 1,375 lei. The gross average earning fell 0.8% in November from a month earlier, to 1,866 lei (€435).
“The real income index for November compared to previous month, calculated as a ratio between nominal net income index and consumer price index stood at 98.6%”, according to NIS.
The highest pay level was recorded in financial intermediation (3,426 lei), and the lowest in hotels and restaurants (HoReCa) – 771 lei.
In mining and quarrying the net average earning rose 13.7%, while in other adjacent services, financial intermediation, wood processing, editing, and research-development it increased by 6%-8.5%.
Compared to November 2008, nominal net earning rose in November 2009 by 0.4%, but fell 4.1% in real terms.
