Adevarul reads Romanian PM's Control Body verifies the way ministers have spent advertising money, Agriculture minister Ilie Sarbu declared in an interview for Romanian TV channel Realitatea TV. The measure has been taken after the constitution of three Parliamentary commissions meant to investigate the way public money are spent, particularly the money for promoting each ministry.
The investigation commission for the ex-Youth and Sport minister Monica Iacob Ridzi checked the way money was used for organising "Youth Day" and the Chamber of Deputies discussed the final report on July 27. Another Commission analyzes the manner in which Environment minister Nicolae Nemirschi awarded a 500,000 euros contract to Ars Advertising company. The third investigated minister is Elena Udrea, heading Tourism, for the way she employed public money in promoting her ministry.
The Moldavian Christian-Democratic Popular Party (PPCD) requested the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Moldova for a recount of the votes cast during the July 29 general elections, Evenimentul Zilei informs, quoting Romanian news agency Mediafax. PPCD did not manage to make it to the Parliament with its 1.9% and its members accuse breaching of numerous electoral laws.
PPCD representatives say that several electoral sections experienced power cuts while votes were being
