FINAL DISCUSSION. Dan Voiculescu said that this is the last time when he talks with the journalists about the unfunded accusations against him and that, from no on, these issues will be exclusively taken care of by the partyâs lawyers. The humanist leader made public a letter to the press, and we present it integrally.
"This is the end of it! The Romanians have a saying: nobody attacks the weak. Well, it is true! I have observed it myself. In Romania, having your own successful business, being your own master, managing to be a successful politician, means envy from the others.
Years in a row, my family and I, had to bear the endless effect of the unfunded accusations desperately trying to asperse me, to destroy all the accomplishments made with hard work during my entire life.
Representing myself, my family, and as a proof of respect for my team, I have decided that the time has come for me to take actions and make these attacks stop.
This is the reason for being here, in front of the public opinion, today and clearly stating:
This is the end of it! One: I have never been a member of the former Security, not even an assistant. I have not practiced any work connected to the political police!
Two: I do not have the slightest connection to Ceausescuâs bank accounts.
