The online publishing company Vodanet is hoping that by launching some niche projects it will reach turnover worth one million euros by yearend, growing from the 380,000 euros it made in 2005, according to company officials' estimates.
One of Vodanet's projects is CrediteOnline. ro, due to be launched by late August, which the company plans to turn into a portal where customers can find exhaustive information on financing sources.
"Investments amount to 25,000-30,000 euros for the launch of the project, with 5 or 6 full time employees to be in charge with crediteonline.ro," Marius Soare, project manager with Vodanet, told ZF.
"Our medium-term goal is to have this portal include the offers of goods and services for which loans are necessary (real estate, travel, education etc.). It is not our current intention to become a financial services broker, which means we are not going to put together credit files or finalise the applications of persons asking for a loan. Our purpose is to build an information platform, developing a close relationship with lenders (banks, non-banking financial institutions, credit brokers) and bringing the two sides of a credit contract into contact," stated Marius Soare.
"We hope that in 9-12 months this will become the main online resource in providing people with financial information regarding loans," he adds.
Company officials at Vodanet state that the reason behind the launch of this service was "a rising number of users that have access to the Internet and their requirements for access to valuable information".
