Baneasa Investments, the developer of the real estate project Baneasa in Bucharest has sold all the penthouses available in the residential complex set to open in February next year, after having completed the first stage of the apartment building project.
Each of these apartments costs nearly 1 million euros.
"Even though the best-selling apartments are those with one and two bedrooms, the fourth penthouse from the first phase of the apartment building complex in the Baneasa residential area was sold in August," company sources told ZIARUL FINANCIAR.
These penthouses have a built area of 279-319 square metres and a 118-240 square metre terrace and have been bought mainly by Romanian businessmen.
The future owners of an apartment in this residential project, which consists of 227 apartments in 12 buildings, include NBR Governor Mugur Isarescu, who bought an apartment not a penthouse, according to information in the media
The price of the apartments in the Baneasa project range between 200,000 euros for one-bedroom units and may go up to one million euros for the penthouse, which can have a surface area of over 550 square metres, terrace included.
Penthouses are usually bought with cash. A 30% down payment is required at first in addition to 5%, when the owner takes possession of the apartment.
The rest of the amount is paid in instalments over approximately one year, the same sources say.
The apartment building project of Baneasa Investments is divided into four completion stages.
The first four buildings will open in February next year, while the second batch of apartment buildings will be completed by the end of next summer. The entire project will most likely be finalised in early 2008, company officials say.
