Tudor Chiuariu, the former Justice Minister, was heard by the prosecutors in the National Anti-Graft Prosecution Office (DNA) in the case of a illegal operation involving a piece of terrain owned by the Romanian Post Offices. The same case also involves the former IT&C minister, Zsolt Nagy. Chiuariu, accused of abuse in office, refused to comment anything after the hearing.
Instead, Chiuariu attacked once again president Traian Basescu and the DNA prosecutors he tries to replace while in office: "Mr. Basescu will keep the DNA chiefs in their seats, despite the fact that their activity is a disaster".
In the criminal file, Chiuariu and Nagy are accused of participating in an illegal move, transferring a valuable terrain from the state's private property to state public property, so that it could be involved in transactions.
