The number of new cars registered on the Romanian market in February approached 30,000, a 34.5% growth compared to January. The percentage indicates one of the largest growths in Europe, where Romania is surpassed only by three countries, according to the data published by the European Car Builders Association.
The countries with a more dynamic market were Lithuania (55% growth), Iceland (48%) and Slovakia (37%). In Bulgaria, the growth was 8%, while nothing changed from one month to the next in Hungary. Major decrease was recorded in Norway (-22%) and Sweden (-17%).
In brands, Volkswagen leads the European market, with 9.9%, followed by Ford - 8.4%, Opel - 7.8% and Fiat and Renault, with 7.1% each.
