The Raiffeisen Bank clients were targeted on Thursday by a new phishing attack. Officials of the banking institution declared for HotNews.ro that the attack begun on Thursday morning and the Raiffeisen Bank specialists currently work for its stopping.
An e-mail received by several clients pretended that the bank modified recently its online security system and, in order to protect the clients against any unauthorized access, identity theft of account frauds, the clients are asked to access an Internet page and fill in their personal data. For more credibility, the e-mail includes several names of Raiffeisen Bank officials, although the names either do not exist, or they do not work for the bank.
According to UrbanNews, the electronic attack runs from the 63.170.216.37 IP and the message is sent by the support@www.raiffeisenbank.ro address.
