With more than 12,000 units sold, Romania-made Dacia Logan was the best selling import model in France, during the first quarter of the year. The data at the French Car Producers Committee (CCFA) shows that Dacia ranked 8th in the most popular models, the first seven places being all taken by French cars.
The Dacia sales increased 69% in the first 3 months of the year, up to 12,217 units. The brand won 2.3% of a market of over 526,000 cars, 54% being covered by French brands.
The best selling model in the first quarter was Renault Clio (41,000 units), followed by Peugeot 207 (38,000) and Citroen C4 (36,000).
The most important share drop came for Hyundai (-36%) and Suzuki (-23%).
