Independent candidate for Bucharest mayoral seat Sorin Oprescu obtained 30.5% of the cast votes after counting ended at 480 polling stations following local elections on Sunday, Bucharest Electoral Office informed on Monday. Oprescu is closely followed by Democrat Liberal (PD-L) Vasile Blaga with 27.7%. The order is thus reversed as compared to exit-polls announced on Sunday night, when Blaga seemed to have overcome Oprescu.
The Electoral Office announced the following partial results after counting 480 constituencies for the General Council of Bucharest:
PD-L - 34,2%
PSD - 25,7%
PNL - 11,1%
PNGCD - 7,2%
PRM - 5,3%
Bucharest mayor partial results:
Sorin Oprescu - 30,5%
Vasile Blaga - 27,7%
Cristian Diaconescu - 13,1%
Ludovic Orban - 11,4%
Cozmin Gusa - 5,9%
