Bucharest Mayor Sorin Oprescu annulled one of the most controversial contracts of the City Hall, which helped local company Dalli hold a monopoly over the public parking lots. Oprescu also denounced several illegal aspects of the former administration to the National Anti-Graft Prosecution Office (DNA), including illegal payments worth millions of euro and advance discounts without formal cover.
Oprescu also said that women in the City Hall were asked for sexual favors in exchange for promotion, a refuse being equal to the end of a career.
In order to analyze all the aspect, an international audit company will evaluate, starting next week, the activity of the City Hall in the past eight years. A report is expected before the end of the summer.
