Carmaker Automobile Dacia has presented the Logan MCV facelift at the Paris Auto Show, the Logan eco2 concept and the Sandero model equipped with 70 and 85 HP diesel engines.
The new MCV facelift saw changes similar to the Logan sedan, which was launched three months ago.
The company did not reveal the exact date for the new launches or the prices for the two models.
"We have not decided on a week for the launch yet, but it will surely be before the end of the year. We will unveil the diesel engine-powered Sandero at the beginning of next year. Sales expectations are moderate, because the current trend on the Romanian market shows a shift from petrol-powered vehicles to diesel, which is why we did not set a sales target," said Francois Fourmont, chief executive of Automboile Dacia at the unveiling of the models at the Auto Show in Paris.
Patrick Blain, Renault's vice-president in charge of sales and marketing, stated that the price of a Logan MCV would remain unchanged for the French market, except for the top version, which will be 150 euros higher.
As for the diesel Sandero, it will sell at a price that starts from 9,800 euros - 500 euros more than the top of the range model, the petrol-driven version.
"I think two thirds of Dacia's sales in France will come from the MCV model. Until the end of August, 20,000 MCVs and 10,000 Logan sedans were sold on our market. The proportion will change in the future, because we also have the diesel Sandero," Blain said.
The Sandero model accounts for more than half of the exports made by Automobile Dacia in the first eight months, after exports totalled almost 99,000 cars.
"We did not set sales targets for any of the models because once we boost the manufacturing capacity to 400,000 units next year, we will be able to adjust production on demand. In addition, we will be able to export
