Diego Armando Maradona comes on the big screens from Romania, in a documentary in which he presents and analyses his life and the career of football player. "Maradona", pelicula about the legendary football player is directed by Emir Kusturica and will open The film Festival DaKINO. The movie has seven parts, which coincide with the seven capital sins, which shows the way Maradona crossed from glory to the decline generated by the drugs consumption.

The present coach from the national team of Argentina speaks about the relation with the supporters and about the relation with the Cuban leader Fidel Castro, about the way in which he missed the childhood of his daughters, but also about his dependence on drugs. Maradona tells in the movie that he started to take drugs when he played to FC Barcelona, but he couldn’t give up drugs after he scored with the hand in 1986, in England’s goalpost.
He divulged even other details about his life which were not made public before the release of the movie directed by Kusturica. On the sound track of the documentary made by the Bosnian director there are famous names, such as Manu Chao and Sex Pistols.
"Maradona" can be seen in the 18th edition of DaKINO Festival, which will take place from 25 to 29 November, at Liberty Center, the first cinema in Romania with digital technology.
