The president of the Liberal Party, Prime Minister Calin Popescu Tariceanu declared, after the exit poll results were published, that the vote on Sunday proved that Romanians trust the Liberals and the Liberal view on the issues Romania currently confronts. Tariceanu appealed to unity and to quitting the senseless political quarrels.
"We still have a lot to do and we need to stick together in order to achieve this. We must put aside the political disputes and fulfill our duties. Romanians can trust me and my ability to lead Romania - along with the Liberal Party, for a better living", said Tariceanu, adding that his party intends to continue the economic growth and job creating plan.
"It was an honor for me to serve the Romanian people for four years, as prime minister", said Tariceanu.
