The volume of industry businesses increased in October by 4.1% as compared to the previous month and by 7.3% as compared to the similar month, last year, Romania's National Statistics Institute reveals. However, orders dropped by 3.6% as compared to October and increased by 18.4% as compared to the similar month, last year.
The growth was supported by all industrial sectors: electrical energy, gas and water businesses advanced by 11.9% while the extraction industry increased by 3.5%. The biggest business growth was registered in the energy industry with 9.8%, the capital goods industry with 8% and the intermediary goods industry with 1.7%.
