"The measure came in order to avoid laying off professionals who normally shouldn't fear for their jobs", said Intact president Camelia Voiculescu.
At the same time, Pro Sport, a leading sports publication in the Media Pro group, announced that it will go through "organizational changes" that include lay-offs. Rumors say some 16b journalists may lose jobs. "Pagina de media", a professional blog, also informs that daily newspaper Gandul cut 5% of all wages.
