Finance Minister Gheorghe Pogea declared on Thursday that it is possible for the Romanian economic growth to range this year between -1% and 1,5%, NewsIn reports. The statements came after the official met the International monetary Fund (IMF) officials.
Pogea added that the main issues to be discussed with the IMF delegation are related to the macroeconomic environment, the budget deficit and, consequently, to Romania's need for financing.
An IMF delegation arrived in Romania today, to discuss a financing program supported by the institution, the European Union, the World Bank and other international financial organizations.
Romanian officials failed to discuss any amount, but analysts say it may rise up to some 20 billion Euros.
