According to the MMA document, Radu Mazare, who is also a shareholder at the newspapers distribution company Conpress, is not at his first censorship attempt. "During the time when the Social Democrats were governing, the Constanta edition of Jurnalul National, Evenimentul Zilei and Academia Catavencu were also victims of abuse, censorship and intimidation", the release reads, adding that Ziua de Constanta recently accused Radu Mazare of manipulating judges in order to obtain, in 2008, the conviction of a journalist that criticized him.
