Constanţa PDS team is holding rank no 4 in the top of the possessions of the most important people and local barons, made up by Cotidianul journalists.
The belongings of the mayor Radu Mazăre and to CJC [Constanţa County Council] president Nicuşor Constantinescu are more extended than other influent barons of our country, like Gheorghe Ştefan, the mayor of Piatra Neamţ, Marian Oprişan, the president of Vrancea County Council and Liviu Dragnea, the president of Teleorman County Council.
The latest declarations of asset posted on the websites of the institutions they represent change the ranks of the most influent people on the Romanian political stage. In the middle of the economical crisis, they may still praise as they own art items and jewels having impressive prices, a lot of lands and buildings and millions of Euros invested or kept in banks.
Althogh they are not reaching the 1st rank holder, UDMR [Democratic Union of Hungarians in Romania] senator Verestoy Attila - 6 lands, 7 buildings, 10 million Euros in bank accounts and other several million Euros and lei in shares - our two Constanţa leaders have reasons to show off. So far, only Nicuşor Constantinescu updated, on 15th of June 2009, his declaration of assets. About the mayor Radu Mazăre, it seems that he will wait a little while until he decides to fill in a new form, as for the last 9 years from his nomination as a mayor, he filled in only 3 declarations of assets - 3rd of May 2000, 18th of January 2008 and 10th of July 2008, in spite of the fact that the belongings of the persons having public positions have to be declared annually.
