French musician Yann Tiersen, known to the large public for his compositions featured in Le fabuleux destin d'Amelie Poulain and Good Bye Lenin!, will perform in Romania for the second time. The event is scheduled for November 4, staring 8 pm at Sala Palatului in Bucharest, ARTmania informs.
He worked with French bands Noir Desir,Red Cardell, Bastard, but also with the Brits from The Divine Comedy, Neil Hannon's band. He's a member of This Immortal Coil, a music band dedicated to the reinterpretations of Coil's songs. The artist is performing with an experimental quartet from the Faeroe Islands - Orka - in September in a tour in Germany and Poland.
Tiersen has many faces on the stage: accompanied by an orchestra and many guests, with a bassist or percussionist and a guitarist on his side, changing the piano with the accordion or with the violin, or even with the electric guitar for the songs with a high volume when the avant-garde music meets rock sounds.
