During the Symposium „South of Seaside - development necessities, opportunities and perspectives", which took place on Saturday, October 10th, at Doina Center from Neptun, the participants - members of Parliament, mayors, economic agents and decentralized services representatives with interest in tourism - talked about the Tourism Law and about 2010's season news.
Elena Udrea, the Minister of Tourism, states that 2010's summer season has pleasant news: TUI, the greatest tourism group from Germany, returns in Romania. TUI returns next summer, after many years of absence on Romanian tourism market. "I hope we won't manage to chase it away in the first year and we must understand that their decision to come back in Romania is a well-timed one. Romania will have a special booklet, promoting it as a unique destination and, more than that, we are going to operate low-cost flights on Mihail Kogalniceanu Airport, especially for German tourists" said Elena Udrea.
Elena Udrea declared that mayors should hurry to access environment founds to rehabilitate or construct new parks in the resorts, consideration that till now only 170 project have been handed in, country wide. At the same time, Udrea, as a provisional Minister of Environment, also said "it was never the case to change the director from DADL (Dobrogea Seaside Water Department)".
