All companies with an up-to-date fiscal declaration and a clear fiscal record will be able to request postponing the payment of their financial duties towards the state, Cotidianul reads. The law approving it came out of the Parliament without featuring the article according to which only the companies that did not have any debt before September 30 are allowed to access the appeal. This means that any company, with or without historical debt towards the state, could ask to have its fiscal duties postponed as long as they are not facing insolvency and have a clean fiscal record on this day.
Analysts interviewed by MONEY.ro do not dare to estimate the impact. The effects on the 2010 Romanian state budget are difficult to put into figures. The deferment can be extended until December 20 of the fiscal year the request has been made. It can be submitted starting January next year and until June 30, 2010.
