Case Utilaje Constructii SRL company based in Ilfov county, which was established in 2006 and imports construction equipment, fruit producer Andany Trading SRL, based in Giurgiu and Trustul de Constructii Civile si Industriale (construction company) based in Arges were chosen as the top performers in the Muntenia-Dobrogea area by Ziarul Financiar and Enterprise Investors yesterday. ZF and Enterprise Investors are now at the second yearly edition of such awards, and the conference in Bucharest comes after those in Iasi and Timisoara. ZF selected companies with more than 40 million RON (10 million euros) in turnover, which posted profit in 2008.
All three companies posted an average growth rate of more than 370% over the last few years and are held by Romanian shareholders. "We managed to create the biggest intensive orchard in Romania," said Ana Pahomie, commercial manager of Andany Trading.
On another note, shareholders and management should agree to the financial restructuring of a company should the situation call for it, and tardy implementation of steps in this regard may drive the company to insolvency, the participants to the "Winning solutions during crisis. Top performing companies in Muntenia-Dobrogea 2009" conference organised by Ziarul Financiar and Enterprise Investors said.
"This year we were called to take financial restructuring jobs in two occasions, but after performing a diagnosis we said no because it was too late. Both later made headlines as insolvency cases," said Doru Lionachescu, managing partner of Capital Partners. He did not reveal the names of the two companies.
Commenting on how 2009 had been for his company, Lionachescu specified that although they were known as a merger and acquisitions firm, they focused more on the financial restructuring segment, where they brokered more than 100 million euros in contract
