Ruukki Construction Romania, fully-owned subsidiary of the Finnish-based supplier of metal-based components Rautaruukki, appointed Marian Pirvu, former chief executive of ArcelorMittal Construction (AMC) Romania as vicepresident.
In his new role, Pirvu (photo) will lead the Finnish group’s operations in Bulgaria.
Pirvu succeeds as of February 1 Janos Papp former manager of Ruuki Hungary.
Janos Popp, will serve as vicepresident of Ruuki Construction CEE, Single Storey category, a new solutions package for the design and construction of commercial and industrial buildings.
The Finnish group joined the Romanian construction market in 2001, as importer of metal-based components. For the time being, the group’s activity in Romania is divided in three branches: Ruukki Construction, Ruukki Metals and Ruukki Production.
Ruuki Romania’s main competitors are Lindab, ArcelorMittal Construction, Megaprofil and Teraplast.
