In last year’s fall, before Windows 7 operating system was released, the local subsidiary of Microsoft, world’s biggest software company, launched series of events at which representatives of the US giant will meet their prospective customers to present their products and services.
“The New Efficiency” is a campaign launched in September last year, before the release of Microsoft’s latest version of its Windows operating system, Windows 7. Through its “New Efficiency” campaign the software giant will present to its partners and potential clients, equipment security policies, detailed guidelines for efficient infrastructure and data base management, and will provide assistance in the installation and use of new programs or products.
The registration for the event is free of charge and can also be viewed online, the share being 70% online sessions and 30% offline.
“An online session boasts 70 attendees in average, depending on the technology. This month, the company will embark on a tour in five cities across the country (Bucharest, Cluj, Iasi and Timisoara) where it will organize workshop for small and medium businesses on the management of stations, servers, physical and virtual machines.
Calin Tatomir, chief executive of Microsoft Romania said it expects Windows 7 to grab a market share of 18-19% in Romania by July.
