Emilian Bituleanu, chairman of Libra Bank, a small lender, will bring bicycles in Romania, with price tags as high as 22,000 RON (5,400 euros) through Mos Ion Roata company that he and his wife own.
"We set out to bring about 500 bicycles from almost the entire Felt Bicycles range on the market this year," the company officials say.
The bicycles will cost 1,100 RON (270 euros) to 22,000 RON (5,400 euros) and the total investment in the showroom in Bucharest will amount to some 100,000 euros. "It also includes a coffee shop and we intend it to also be a starting point for short bicycle trips for families in Bucharest." The two entrepreneurs are also considering expansion of the store to several cities across the country, as well as distribution to dealers.
Emilian Bituleanu, 49, has been working for Libra Bank since 2004, when he was appointed vice-president. Before that, he had worked as vice-president at Finans Bank and credit management deputy director at Bancorex.
