Emilia Bunea, general manager of ING Pensii, the biggest private pension manager domestically, will take over the position of chief financial officer with ING Central Europe in April, the unit coordinating the Dutch group's insurance and pension operations in ten countries of the region. Bunea, 41, will leave for Amsterdam, where she will work in the same headquarters as Violeta Ciurel, a former general manager with ING Asigurari, "exported" to the Dutch capital city in 2004. Marius Popescu, the current general manager of ING Investment Management, will replace Bunea. "In early April I will move to Amsterdam together with my family. International experience was what I lacked," Bunea, who has been working in the financial sector for 13 years, told ZF. She is a certified financial analyst, which is a major qualification in the financial sector, and will coordinate the finances of ING insurance and private pension companies of Hungary, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania, Bulgaria, Russia, Greece, Spain and Turkey, with more than 4,000 employees and 7 million clients.
