Amelia was the first one to compete in the beam competition and her score remained the best. Alya Mustafina from Russia came second, with 14,375, while another Romanian gymnast got the bronze medal: Raluca Haidu.
Diana Chelaru manage to obtain the bronze medal in the floor competition, score 14,125. The gold went to Beth Tweddle (14,825), while Russian Anna Myzdrikova got silver (14,235).
In the first apparatus final, Diana Chelaru finished forth in the vaults competition (14,375 and 13,750 - mean 14,062). The Romanian was overtaken by Ekaterina Kurbatova (14.287/ Russia), Youna Dufournet (14.275/ France) and Tatiana Nabieva (14.150/ Russia).
In the juniors' final, Larisa Iordache danced for gold in the floor competition and jumped for silver in the beam competition. Larisa got the same score in the floor contest as Anastasia Grishina: 14,275. In the uneven bars contest, Larisa ranked second (14,575). The gold medal went to Victoria Komova (14,900)
