Romsoft, operating Depozitul de Calculatoare IT&C retail network, in the first quarter generated income worth 1.35m RON (320,000 euros), Virgiliu Raducanu, the company's main shareholder, told ZF. "We're on schedule. We derived 1.35m RON income and paid our debts. We expected things to go like this," said Raducanu, without specifying the value of Q1 revenues. Romsoft posted profit as a result of the company's restructuring, a move initiated because of the dramatic changes the domestic IT&C retail market has undergone in the past two years. The company now has 43 operational stores countrywide, from 102 almost two years ago. According to Raducanu, amid the crisis Depozitul de Calculatoare reached 200 employees in 43 stores, from 750 in 102 in October 2008. He also said a reason of concern for the company is a potential new market decline amid actions announced by the government. The company is in talks to extend a 2.65m-euro line of credit with BRD.
