The local unit of the cement producer Holcim Romania has appointed Rossen Papazov (37) as marketing and sales director.
He will succeed Francois Laporte who was promoted to chief commercial officer Aggregates at Holcim in France.
Papazov began his career at Holcim Bulgaria in 2000 as manager assistant and later on promoted to business development manager.
Since 2002, he had been working at the World Bank as country financial management specialist. He returned to Holcim as General Manager Aggregates and Ready-mix Concrete.
Over the past three years, he has been serving as marketing director at Holcim Blegium. He also worked as senior consultant in the audit and business advisory team of Arthur Andersen Bulgaria.
Rossen Papazov graduated from the University of National and World Economics in Sofia, and has an MBA at IMD, Lausanne, Switzerland.
Holcim Romania employs 1,200 and has 1,200 cement manufacturing facilities in Campulung and Alesd, a milling station in Turda, 20 eco-friendly concrete stations, 5 aggregate stations and one cement terminal in Bucharest.
