The Austria-based Lasselsberger, the largest manufacturer of wall and floor tiles in Romania, said it would invest €200,000 in the opening of four stores.
The first outlet will be opened in Piatra Neamt and represented an investment of €50,000.
The new store has a gross surface of 1,000 sqm and will be opened at the end of next week.
“The outlet has a retail area of 680 sqm and boasts a 300-sqm storage area”, said Eduard Macarescu, chief commercial officer of Lasselsberger Romania.
The board of the company estimates total sales of €350,000 by the end of the year.
Lasselsberger Romania has three outlets, in Bucharest, Oradea and Cluj.
The company recorded a turnover of €35 million last year, down 15.2% from 2008, on a battered construction market.
For 2010, the ceramics manufacturer projected a 10% increase in revenues, to €38.5 million.
