Romsoft Ramnicu Valcea, a domestic IT solutions provider, saw its turnover rise by 5% in the first half of this year against a year ago as a result of the invoicing of some projects operated last year. "Against last year, we've sealed new contracts, but they were smaller ones. The new contracts have kept the business afloat rather than generate turnover growth," Claudia Ursateanu, general manager and sole shareholder in Romsoft, told ZF. "We signed 50-60 contracts in the first half, but their value is low. We kept our pace of five tenders per day. 2010 does not seem changed to me compared with 2009 as regards the structural component, but rather in terms of private sector projects, with companies trying to access EU funded projects," she also said. She stated she expected higher turnover growth in the second half considering more EU funded projects would be unfrozen, which would represent a secure cash source on the IT solution integrators market. Ursateanu stated in an interview with ZF in April she planned to boost turnover by 33% to 20m euros, from 15m euros last year.
