BitDefender, one of the biggest local IT companies, wants to boost revenue by expanding to markets such as China, now that it has reached a 2% share of the global IT security software market, after having entered in full gear on Western European and US markets over the last few years, Florin Talpes, CEO of the company and one of the most powerful local IT&C entrepreneurs told ZF in an interview. "China is our number one target at the moment," says Talpes, who added he had hired a company to look into all the legal and economic aspects of entering China. "When you go to a country like that, you don't want to go with one or two people, you want to grow fast." BitDefender already has employees in Chile, US, Spain or the United Kingdom.
