Marcel Bărbuţ, owner of adhesives and paint producer AdePlast, has decided to use the adhesives bags he manufactures in the Oradea and Ploieşti as business cards, in order to have direct contact with clients. Last year he sold 13 million bags inscribed with his personal mobile phone number, and does not intend to change this strategy started back in 1996.
Bărbuţ is the only owner of a local company to have put his phone number on a product, because he wanted to be the first to find out what a client thinks, with no intermediaries involved. AdePlast's business amounted to 113.6 million RON (26.8 million euros) last year, a level similar to that recorded in 2008, with an at least 15% growth expected for this year.
