Endava Romania, part of British group Endava, a specialised provider of IT services and business solutions for financial applications, telecommunications, media and IT technology, announced it would open a new software centre in Iaşi this autumn, which is set to employ around 100 people by late 2011. Endava rented over 1,200 square metres of office space in the centre of Iaşi, in Palas complex managed by Iulius Group. Endava's clients include IMG Worldwide, Cision, NYSE Euronext, UBS, Banca Transilvania, BancPost, AVIVA, Aegon Life, BRD Fond de Pensii. The company also owns a headquarters in Iaşi currently employing 50 people, two centres in Cluj-Napoca employing over 150 software engineers and a consultancy unit in Bucharest, with the total number of Endava's employees topping 220 persons. According to Endava's officials, the company's expansion in Romania is mainly prompted by the launch of new projects with foreign clients. "(…) For the following years, we plan to broadly expand our Romanian operations, and we expect this to be largely achieved through the Iaşi headquarters," Valentin Metzger, a CEO with Endava Romania, told ZF Transilvania.
