As a first, ZF put together the ranking of top companies either with Romanian private capital or held by foreign entrepreneurs whose business is focused on the Romanian market, which reveals that Romanian businesses only generated 8% of the turnovers of the top 300 companies in the economy.
This is the first ranking that focuses on Romanian entrepreneurs posting hundreds of millions of euros in turnover with one company, but the ranking does not include well-known businessmen such as Dan Şucu and George Copos, who employ thousands of people and have more plants in Romania with tens of millions of euros in cumulated turnover, but whose turnover per fiscal entity is less than 80 million euros, the minimal threshold for this ranking.
