American giant Oracle, one of the world's biggest software producers, last week rented an almost 7,000 square metres of office space in Nusco Tower on Bucharest's Barbu V`c`rescu Boulevard, where it will hire around 500, according to ZF estimates.
Oracle had almost 1,300 employees in Romania at the end of 2009, most of whom were working in Oracle Tower and Floreasca Business Park, located nearby Nusco Tower and Aurel Vlaicu metro station. With over 70 million euros in turnover in Romania last year, Oracle has continued to hire, with 60 job openings available in July alone.
The rental transaction, one of the biggest this year, was advised by real estate consultancy The Advisers Knight Frank, which also assisted Oracle when it extended its contract for Oracle Tower.
Nusco Tower building is held by Italian family business Nusco, owner of door manufacturer Pinum, whose contract with Oracle is put at 1,5 million euros per year.
