Yannis Mythis, general manager of Brailact Brăila, one of the largest dairy producers that last year entered insolvency, maintains that whereas in 2009 the company's strategy envisaged cost reductions, starting this year its management is mainly targeting the company's development domestically, but not only that.
Thus, Brailact's main goals for 2010 are to expand distribution domestically, boost exports and launch new products.
Brailact has entered Kaufland store chain this year, with which it started regional collaboration for the southeastern area of the country, and is getting ready to start production for several private labels of modern retailers present domestically.
Brailact's current strategy does not entail only boosting domestic sales, but also exports, both to EU countries and on other continents. The Brăila-based producer wants its exports to generate 20% of sales in the next three years.
In the wake of 2009 restructuring steps and of plans to develop the company, Mythis maintains its reorganisation plan to exit insolvency has been approved by creditors and is also due to get the syndic judge's approval in September.
