Private shareholders are the first to have submitted their candidacies for a seat in the Representatives Committee that will supervise the management of Fondul Proprietatea (Property Fund -FP) by Franklin Templeton.
However, the stake is whom the Romanian will state appoint to represent its interests.
Until yesterday, July 18, FP received three candidacies for the five seats in the Representatives Committee, two days before the deadline expires. The members of the Committee will be chosen during the general meeting of shareholders of September 6.
One of the three candidacies belongs to lawyer Corin Trandafir, 41, representing the interests of Malaxa and Auschnit families' heirs, the biggest private shareholders. The second lawyer is Cristian Duţescu, 37, representing the interests of Salink and Coneglen foreign investment funds managed by East Capital Swedish investment firm.
The third candidacy was submitted by Eugen Pena, 62, a Fund shareholder, who was the general manager of Hidroelectrica state-owned company from 2000 through 2003.
