In the same period, the price of cement domestically dropped by almost 11%, according to the data the group published in its half-year report.
Holcim's cement sales and EBIDTA domestically fell in the first half of the year, with the group's business in Eastern Europe being hurt by shrinking investments.
The company expected turnover to go down by 5% in 2010 to 237m euros, namely to a level similar with that of 2006, amid falling infrastructure investments and the low number of real estate projects underway, an estimate the company's representatives made in the second quarter of this year.
In 2009, the company's turnover shrank by 33% to 250m euros, past the most downbeat estimates, of a 20% decline.
