The eRomania project and the coordination of IT projects in public institutions must be the priorities of the new communications minister, say a series of politicians and entrepreneurs contacted by ZF.
They warn, however, that Valerian Vreme needs the support of the president and prime minister to be able to really change something about the state's IT investments.
"The new minister needs to set up a commission subordinated to the Communications Ministry, which should synchronise and analyse IT projects in any minister," Liviu Drăgan, head of the Software and Services Industry Employers' Association (ANIS), told ZF.
Varujan Pambuccian, a colleague of Vreme in the Chamber of Deputies' IT&C Committee, believes that the eRomania project has to be the new minister's utmost priority.
As for the Romanian Post Office and Societatea Naţională de Radiocomunicaţii (National Radio-communications Company-SNR), the state has to privatise them, Pambuccian feels.
