Businessman George Copos, owner of Ana Holding group and of Rapid Bucureşti football team, is negotiating with Globe Trade Center (GTC) real estate developer a tie-up contract for the development of a 28-storey office tower close to Crowne Plaza hotel of Bucharest, currently called Ana Tower.
Talks are in an advanced stage, according to ZF information, with Copos seeking a partner with "background" for the project that may involve investments of above 100m euros.
GTC is one of the savviest office developers in Bucharest, having completed Europe House, America House and City Gate projects in recent years, with an 85,000 square metre lettable area.
"We're in talks with several multinationals to forge an alliance for the building of the 28-storey tower. GTC is one of them, which I highly appreciate. We will see what will happen," Copos told ZF.
Ana Tower may become the biggest office building in Bucharest, with a 120-m height.
"We're striving to get a land plot for an office building in northern Bucharest and we have three different possibilities, including a tie-up with Mr. Copos. For the time being, we haven't reached an agreement for any of the possibilities," stated Shimon Galon, GTC CEO.
