Albino Budinsky, the CEO of Schenker Romtrans, part of Germany's Deutsche Bahn transporter and one of the biggest private companies operating on the freight transportation market, says he has budgeted a 15% sales increase for next year as a result of a market pick up.
"After a very difficult start from January through March, when the company registered flat turnover from last year, in April through September we had a 13.7% increase owing to our efforts," Albin Budinsky stated.
International freight transport generates almost 75% of the company's turnover, while domestic transport brings the rest, according to the latest data available.
Budinsky, who came to Romania in 1997 and has been the general manager of the subsidiary of DB Schenker starting 2001, maintains that because of the turnover trend of the last few months he is looking at 2011 more confidently, having budgeted growth.
"However, next year's figures will also depend on the situation of the Romanian economy," Budinsky specifies.
