Gabriel Stoicescu, the former general manager of Petrom LPG, the liquefied petroleum gas distribution arm of Petrom, the biggest domestic company, on December 1 became the general manager of ButanGas Romania, replacing Florin Preda.
ButanGas Romania is a major player on the LPG distribution market, having also recently entered the field of electricity generation from renewable sources by taking over a 25 MW wind farm from Romconstruct Top, initially held by Romanian-born Swedish businessman Emanuel Muntmark.
Stoicescu could not be contacted by edition close for additional details regarding his departure from Petrom LPG, and Petrom representatives did not communicate the name of the person set to replace him.
Before joining Petrom team in the LPG field, Stoicescu was the general manager of Shell Gas Romania, a company the oil and gas producer took over in 2007 in the wake of a 51m-euro deal.
