Banca Feroviară, controlled by businessman Valer Blidar, brought Jean Andronie, former executive vice-president for corporate banking with BCR in 2004-2008 period, to the top management team.
Andronie kept his position at BCR for almost two years after Austria's Erste took over, being the last to be replaced in Dănilă's team.
Banking sources state that though they kept Andronie for a longer time, the Austrians eventually grew discontent with the declining market share on the corporate segment and therefore brought in Wolfgang Schoiswohl, who had held a similar position with the former HVB Ţiriac Bank.
After a period of staying away from the banking system, Jean Andronie is returning as a vice-president of Banca Feroviară, being in charge with the same segment of corporate clients.
Banking sources say Andronie promised Valer Blidar he would attract companies through the refinancing of loans from other banks, as Andronie knows the market very well after his experience with the biggest bank on the market.
