"In 2010, exports rose 18%, to 986,000 units, compared with 835,000 units in 2009," said Monica Iavorschi, Arctic's general manager.
The volume of units exported from the Găeşti factory accounts for 63% of overall sales, according to information supplied by Arctic to ZF. So, considering an estimated 10% increase in Arctic's turnover, to 220 million euros, exports would amount to around 140 million euros, according to ZF calculations. If sales remained steady, the value of exports would be around 125 million euros. The manufacturer has yet to release 2010 financial data, but the original budget provided for a 10% increase against 2009, when exports amounted to 201 million euros (853.1 million RON).
