World Bank approved on Thursday the second installment for Romania, worth 300 million euro within the Development Program Loan, the WB Bucharest office Chief Economist Catalin Pauna declared.
The program for development for Romania is worth 1 billion euro and is part of the 20 billion euro support pack offered by the IMF, EC and WB in May 2009. The first installment was approved in Jul 16, 2009 by the WB, and was worth 300 million euro. That money went to the Finance minister, as budgetary support.
The second installment is offered to consolidate public finances through the reform of the budgetary system, for adopting the laws on salaries and pensions, some measures in the social insurance and health sectors and to undertake reform in the financial sector, Pauna underlined.
