In 2009, top-ten law firms had turnovers of at least four million euros, according to ZF data, with some of these firms recording revenue declines.
"We did not target this growth. We responded to client demand," said Crenguţa Leaua, managing partner of Leaua şi Asociaţii, which assists clients such as Israeli group Elbit, owner of Radisson Blu hotel in Bucharest and Industrialexport, developer of Tower Center office building in Piaţa Victoriei (Victory Square).
The firm provides legal services in matters of arbitration and litigation, but has also developed its consultancy practice lately.
The team consists of 21 lawyers, with productivity per lawyer amounting to over 250,000 euros last year, one of the biggest on the legal market, with lawyers in top firms generally bringing law firms revenues of 150,000-200,000 euros per year.
