Farmexpert, the second leading drug distributor on the local market, whose 2010 business is put at 300 million euros, lost two executives, after Octavian Iacob and Cezar Zaharia quit their positions.
"Both I and Mr. Iacob left," said Cezar Zaharia, while Octavian Iacob said, " I intend to stay in the pharmaceutical industry."
The distributor's management structure included a general manager, Eugen Banciu, the founder of Farmexpert who still owns 40% in the business, and three executive managers: Octavian Iacob, Cezar Zaharia and Marius Tănase. Octavian Iacob was in charge of acquisitions, commercial affairs, sales to hospitals, marketing and medical promotion, while Cezar Zaharia was in charge of the financial affairs, IT and sales to key accounts (big stores), and Marius Tănase handled sales to retail pharmacies. Iacob was appointed in this position in January 2008, while Zaharia was recruited in September 2008.
Farmexpert's majority shareholder is Germany's ANZAG (Andreae-Noris Zahn) group, which owns 60%. Neither Farmexpert nor ANZAG officials had commented on the information by edition close.
