Germany's Siemens industrial group says that according to the development plans it has for Romania, it will likely hire as many as 250 people in the next two years, expecting turnover to go up by at least 10%.
The positive forecasts come as Siemens representatives expect a wider portfolio of works in fields such as infrastructure, renewable energy or environment protection.
"Development plans for the next two years entail our hiring another 50-250 people in Romanian production facilities. The first 50 employees will be added to the production facility we have in Buzias and the rest depend on the materialization of plans related to domestic production capacity expansion," said Cristian Secosan, general manager of Siemens.
Early this year, the company's representative stated Siemens mulled expanding the production capacities it held domestically, as export of equipment manufactured in Romania was the only segment of the German's business that grew in 2010.
